Today is Wednesday, November 2nd, Creative Every Day: Art Every Day Month Challenge 2011 continues…
Just in case you missed it yesterday, Art Every Day Month is the brainchild of Leah Piken Kolidas. The intent of the challenge is to invite others to challenge themselves to create some art every day for one month and post it publicly to share and to be held accountable.
So, as a reminder, and for those who are just “tuning in”…I’m thinking that for me, this challenge serves a couple of purposes:
- To increase my consciousness around my intention to create more than doodles
- To channel some energy into actually experimenting with regular art journaling
- To get back to my blog with regularity
- To provide an opportunity for me to engage with some really cool folks
- To push/test myself to see if I can ACTUALLY COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE
(rather than just talk about how neat it is that other people actually do it)
As I post this, I’m realizing that it’s really 11/3 in my part of the world… 12:11 am to be exact.
For me, that’s still 11/2, Day 2, since I’m generally a night owl.
And I’ll chalk this late entry up to the failing slot on my laptop that is supposed to read my digital camera cards and doesn’t now almost 75% of the time when the computer’s been running for a while. I guess it’s a symptom of overheating.
Otherwise, the laptop is serving me well…after more than 4 years, I can consider myself grateful.
So, here’s my creation today.
I call it Blue Dawn Exploding.
