The Wise Well Woman's Way

Sharing a Grace – filled Message from Christine Kloser

Sometimes I receive messages that are so clear, and so poignant, and so perfectly aligned with how I feel and where I am in my life today that I can’t help but marvel at the incredible power of it all. Then I smile,  simply acknowledging that universal energy that connects all of us willing to listen and say “thank you” for making it possible for me to receive these beautiful words and song.
And thank you, to Christine Kloser, for sharing the message, I pass along to you, my readers, with many blessings…
What is Grace?
By Christine Kloser
Not too long ago, I received an email from a subscriber who thanked me for something I shared in this ezine and asked me a question about grace.  She wanted to know how I use the word “grace” and what it means to me?
There’s no better place than here for me to answer that question for her and any of you who are wondering the same thing.  Here’s how dictionary.com defines grace:
–noun
  1. elegance or beauty of form, manner, motion, or action: We watched her skate with effortless grace across the ice. Synonyms: attractiveness, charm, gracefulness, comeliness, ease, lissomeness, fluidity. Antonyms: stiffness, ugliness, awkwardness, clumsiness; klutziness.
  2. a pleasing or attractive quality or endowment: He lacked the manly graces.
  3. favor or goodwill. Synonyms: kindness, kindliness, love, benignity; condescension.
  4. a manifestation of favor, especially by a superior: It was only through the dean’s grace that I wasn’t expelled from school. Synonyms: forgiveness, charity, mercifulness. Antonyms: animosity, enmity, disfavor.
  5. mercy; clemency; pardon: He was saved by an act of grace from the governor. Synonyms: lenity, leniency, reprieve. Antonyms: harshness.
Grace means different things to different people.  When I read this definition, I didn’t connect with any of the meanings as to what grace means to me.
Grace to me is the ever-present energy of Divine love flowing to and through every living being, everywhere, at all times.  It is the source from which all things are delivered to you.  It is the unexplainable energy that makes sense of all things and answers your prayers (sometimes in the most unsuspecting ways).
Grace is the presence of God in my life in the loud moments of profound transformation, as well as in the whispers that arise in the quiet of my morning meditation.  Any time I sit in silent meditation… grace is what is there.
It is the energy that makes everything possible; the magical, mystery of life and it’s unfolding.  It was grace that held me when I dove into the darkest night of my soul last December (and didn’t let me crawl under a rock for the rest of my life).  It was grace that “downloaded” a creative idea that blew away anything my “mind” could have constructed.  It was grace that placed the perfect people in my life to help me become more of who I am.  It was grace that had my old business crumble around me and nudged me to let go of the only piece of stability that was left.  It is grace that guides me every day as I strive to be the brightest light I can be in every area of my life.
In the words of one of my clients, “Grace isn’t always graceful.”  It doesn’t always feel like angels, and whispers, and bliss. Grace sometimes feels like a brick being dropped on your head or your feet being pulled out from underneath you.  But, nonetheless… grace (that energy of life) is always guiding you to be more of who you are here to be on your soul’s path.
More than dictionary.com’s definition, here’s a video that better communicates what grace means to me… it’s LeAnn Rimes singing Amazing Grace A cappella.
